My Tips for Business Portraits
-
Choose clothing that you feel comfortable in and that fits well (neither too large nor too small).
-
Business Look: For women: Business dresses are suitable, as well as a blazer with a blouse or a blazer with a top, or just a blouse. For men: A shirt or a shirt with a jacket or a suit.
-
Avoid wearing clothing with brands and logos. Exceptions are made for logos or inscriptions that are inherent to suits, shirts, or other parts of business clothing and are discreet.
-
Please bring a spare top.
-
Ensure your clothing is wrinkle-free, especially around the collar.
-
Your makeup should be as you usually wear it. Very carefully applied, but not overdone for the photo shoot.
-
Jewelry is welcome, but please keep it subtle to avoid distractions.
-
Bring a brush and makeup with you.
-
If you wear glasses, clean them beforehand and bring a cleaning cloth.
-
For men: Be freshly and carefully shaved or well-groomed if you have a beard. Bring a comb, beard brush, and lip balm. Possibly also hairspray.
-
If you plan to visit the hairdresser, do so at least one day before the shoot, not on the day of the shoot.
-
Avoid strapless tops, deep necklines, and see-through clothing. If wearing a strapless top, please pair it with a blazer or jacket.
-
Use underarm pads under your blouse/shirt if necessary.
-
If you wear a T-shirt or underwear under your shirt/blouse, ensure the color is not visible.
-
Be well-rested. Get enough sleep before the shoot day.
